All American Season 5 is now on Netflix in the United States and is already topping the charts. However, there is good and bad news about his future. The show received a season 6 renewal in January 2023 and is one of the few original scripted series on The CW to be renewed for the 2023/24 season.
However, as you may have heard, the WGA is currently on strike, which means that unless the scripts have already been written, the show’s development and production schedule is currently unclear. Early reports indicated that the show would have gone into production in the summer of 2023; however, it is unclear with the attack if they are now accurate.
Given all this, it’s unclear if the show can make its usual October start date on The CW, which could mean a post-midseason start could be on the cards.
When will All American season 6 air on Netflix?
With no start date on The CW, predicting the Netflix release of All American season 6 is a bit difficult right now. As you may know, Netflix always gets new seasons of shows from their output deal with The CW around 8 days after their final air date.
During the last years, all american has had a persistent release schedule, which means new seasons arrived around April or May.
Season 5, for example, arrived on Netflix on May 23, 2023, after the season finale aired on May 15.
For season 6, this may be much later, like season 3, which was pushed back to halfway through the season due to the pandemic disrupting production.
That means Netflix US will get Season 6 in April/May 2024 at the earliest, but it may even be later in the summer into the fall depending on how things pan out.
