What’s Coming to Netflix This Week: January 30 to February 5, 2023

Welcome to the second great week of new releases on Netflix for 2023. As we enter a new month, we’ll be getting a ton of new licensed content on Netflix, plus a handful of great original series and movies. Here’s everything scheduled to hit Netflix between January 30 and February 5, 2023.

Speaking of a new month, you’ll want to familiarize yourself with the full February 2023 lineup. Plus, since this month has so many new additions worth talking about, you can also expect us to post daily roundups of new additions.

The most anticipated releases coming to Netflix this week

Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile

Coming to Netflix: Saturday

Sony’s first major film coming to Netflix in 2023 will be released next weekend in the form of the Shawn Mendes family feature film, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile.

Adapted from Bernard Waber’s book series, the film tells the story of a mute crocodile who does not speak but does sing.

The film was well received by the public, but not so much by the critics. paste magazine gave the film a 7 out of 10 concluding:

“For the kids, this won’t matter much, and Lyle is good enough to have staying power at sleepovers and family movie nights for years to come. However, it’s disappointing to see a movie with so much potential fail to land, especially when the right moves are obvious.»

The cast of the Columbia Pictures film includes Javier Bardem, Winslow Fegley, Constance Wu and Scoot McNairy.

new amsterdam (Seasons 3-4)

Coming to Netflix: Wednesday

Although many Netflix regions are losing new amsterdam Taken together, Netflix US will go in the opposite direction by picking up the third and fourth seasons of the NBC medical drama.

It’s two new seasons added to Netflix just a few weeks since seasons 1 and 2 were added.

freeridge (Season 1)

Coming to Netflix: Friday

on my block is long over, but fans of the show will want to check out the new spin-off of the show in the form of freedridge.

Set in the same location, this coming-of-age series will see Gloria and Inés and their friends Demi and Cameron unleash a curse that will bring dark misfortune to their lives.

8 episodes drop on Friday with the return of original showrunner Lauren Lungerich.
