New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu predicted Sunday that former President Donald Trump will lose the Republican nomination in the 2024 presidential election.
In an interview on NBC News’ “Meet the Press,” Sununu, a Republican who has said he is thinking about his own run for the White House, said Trump is “in the running. he’s going to pass.»
«There are very few people who are undecided whether they’re with him or not with him or whatever. So, I think he just has his lane and then there’s everyone else, which I think is a huge majority of the party. who is looking for an alternative,” said Sununu.
“We keep going. I just don’t think the Republican Party is going to say that the best leadership for America tomorrow is the leadership of yesterday,” she added.
Sununu had previously said in a interview on ABC News last month that he doesn’t think Trump can win against President Joe Biden in 2024.
Sununu also predicted that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has yet to launch a presidential bid, would win New Hampshire if the election were held today. «There’s no doubt about that in my mind,» he said.
