The Ecuadorian government announced that it will initiate judicial actions against the alleged attackers of police officers during the anti-government demonstrations on Wednesday.

«I will personally file a criminal complaint,» announced the Minister of the Interior, José Serrano.

Serrano added that at least 15 agents were injured when they were watching the demonstration called by unions against the labor policy of the Executive of Rafael Correa.

Around 120 people were arrested, with just over fifty minors.

The march, called by the largest union in the country, the Unitary Front of Workers (FUT), was joined by environmentalists, indigenous people and students.
