Despite a season dominated by world champion Max Verstappen, there were plenty of stories during the last season of the Formula 1 World Championship. Fortunately for us, we will be able to see the stories unfold in even more detail as the Box to Box Films features interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and more. It will arrive at the end of February 2023, just in time for the new season.

In case you didn’t know, renewed netflix Formula 1: drive to survive for a fifth and sixth season, which means the 2022 and 2023 Netflix F1 Championship seasons will also be covered.

The spectacle has been cited as one of the many reasons the sport is growing, particularly in the United States. Season 5 is set to be another cracker with plenty of stories and threads to follow.

The big changes that came into the season were the big regulation changes that notably changed the way cars can follow each other and led to more overtaking. They will no doubt touch on the Red Bull cost cap breaking controversy and cover the trials and tribulations of many teams throughout the year.


Formula 1: drive to survive season 5 will premiere on Netflix in 2023

Let’s look at the last two seasons of F1: Drive to survive vs. when the new season started (season 2 came in 2020, season was delayed):

So the previous two seasons arrived on Netflix in March, but they arrived notably 9 days before the race on Sunday (or 7 days before the start of FP1).

This trend continues in 2023. The new season F1 Championship race is underway on March 5, 2023, and Netflix has announced that the fifth season of Drive to Survive will be on. February 24, 2023.

That week gets you up to speed and up to speed for the 2023 Formula One World Championship, which is scheduled for a record 24 races.

According to Netflix, here is the official synopsis for the fifth season and the first trailer:

“Offering unprecedented access, this new season will once again take fans behind the scenes, to witness first-hand how drivers and teams prepare to fight for the 2022 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. series will feature never-before-seen footage and interviews of the biggest names in the sport.”
