Based on an analysis of the data from its platform, the Colombian-Mexican proptech La Haus revealed the proportion between homes purchased with investment fines and those purchased with the objective of being inhabited in the regions with the greatest real estate activity in Colombia.

As a result, compared to the national panorama, it will be prolonged that 21.28% of buyers acquire a property with the aim of investing, while 78.72% do so with the purpose of living in it.

In this list of regions and cities where the most investment-oriented apartments are purchased, they are followed by Bogotá with 18.23%, the Caribbean (21.87%) and Valle de Cauca (13.38%).
In the case of those who buy house-type properties with a view to generating profitability, the Caribbean is where this behavior is most recorded; in this region, 47.62% of buyers buy a house for this purpose. On the other hand, in relation to the population that buys apartments with the aim of inhabiting them, Bogotá and Antioquia lead this indicator with 81.77% and 73.9%respectively.
Type and characteristics of the buyer by region
The analysis also revealed the type and characteristics of the buyer by region. Thus, it was possible to identify that, in Antioquia and the Caribbean, men are the ones who buy the most housing.

In these two areas, 50.92% and 60.89% of the residential properties, respectively, were purchased by a male person. Otherwise it happens in Bogotá and Valle del Cauca, where 49.34% and 49.24%, in that order, of the transactions, are carried out by women.
