OceanGate said it will suspend all commercial and exploration operations weeks after its submersible imploded near the Titanic wreckage site, killing all five people on board.

Thursday’s announcement comes about two weeks after human remains were recovered from the wreckage of the Titan, a submersible operated by OceanGate Expeditions that was carrying the company’s chief executive and four other people on an expedition.

The submarine lost contact with its parent ship on June 18 off Newfoundland approximately one hour and 45 minutes after it was lowered, prompting a massive search that captured the world’s attention.

The submersible is believed to have imploded. The cause remains under investigation.
