Before WrestleMania 39 took place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, WWE’s NXT brand showcased the best that professional wrestlers in the developmental promotion had to offer.

Stand & Deliver took place at Arena with all of the promotions championship belts on the line and Johnny Gargano and Grayson Waller trying to settle their feud.

Chase University began the show by defeating Schism in an eight-person tag team match that nearly saw Duke Hudson take on his stablemates to join Schism in the middle of the match. However, he betrayed his opponents and earned the victory for Chase University.

In the match for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn took advantage of the lack of communication between the team of Fallon Henley and Kiana James to win the tag team titles.

Here are some of the best moments from Stand & Deliver.

Wes Lee defended his NXT North American Championship in a fatal five-way match and Gallus got help from Joe Coffey to retain the NXT Tag Team Championship in a triple threat match. Lee bested Dragon Lee, Iija Dragunov, and JD McDonagh, while Gallus defeated Creed Brothers and The Family.

Indi Hartwell pushed Tiffany Stratton off the ladder and into three of her opponents in a pivotal matchup for the NXT Women’s Championship. Hartwell was bruised and battered and had difficulty climbing the ladder. Dexter Lumis got out of her and put Hartwell on her shoulders and carried her up the stairs for her to win the championship.

Early in the match, Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin’s feud would continue. Dolin seemed to be within championship reach when Jayne came out of nowhere and pushed her off the ladder. The tag team once known as Toxic Attraction is dead and gone, but their heat survived. Jayne laughed as he walked back up the entrance ramp.

3). Johnny Gargano gets revenge on Grayson Waller

In an unauthorized fight, Johnny Gargano and Grayson Waller went toe-to-toe to get nearly all of the weapons involved in the fight. Gargano would suplex Waller over a bunch of chairs. As Waller taunted Gargano’s wife, Candice LeRae also got involved and hit Waller with a kendo stick multiple times. Gargano would eventually win the match.

2). Tiffany Stratton gets extreme.

Tiffany Stratton went all out as she tried to capture the NXT Women’s Championship. In the six-woman ladder match for the title, Stratton was at the top of the ladder when Indi Hartwell moved in to knock her down. But as Stratton went down, she decided to jump and flip into three other opponents below her, taking out Roxanne Perez, Zoey Stark, and Lyra Valkyrie.

Stratton seemed to writhe in pain as he hit the ground. Hartwell used the moment to his advantage and, with the help of Dexter Lumis, climbed the ladder and won the championship.

1). Carmelo Hayes stuns Bron Breakker to win the NXT Championship.

Carmelo Hayes got help from Trick Williams when his valet hit Bron Breakker with the NXT Championship belt, but Breakker managed to wrestle. Breakker hit a spear and a Frankensteiner, but Hayes didn’t want to go down. Finally, Hayes got some incredible air on his Nothing But Net finishing move and pinned Breakker 1-2-3.

Breakker showed some respect for Hayes after the match, passing the NXT baton to the next superstar and possibly foreshadowing Breakker’s eventual debut on WWE’s main roster.
