The Carolina Hurricanes and Florida Panthers may want to take notes from two high schools in New Jersey after their quadruple overtime from Thursday night to Friday morning, the fifth-longest game in NHL history.

Clearview Regional and Eastern High Schools battled in a junior varsity boys’ lacrosse matchup, but no winner was determined after three overtimes.

Rather than risk more overtime, especially on a school night, the two teams decided they couldn’t wait much longer to score a goal.
