Netflix has ordered a new YA queer series called both die in the end about two strangers who meet for the first and last time in their lives and spend the last day of their lives together. The title itself is already a spoiler, but what matters is the journey.
The series is created by chris vandusenwho is also the creator of the most successful Netflix series Bridgerton. Van Dusen will also write the pilot episode. Together with Van Dusen, among the creators are yellow jackets executive producer Drew Comins, as well as music superstar Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, known professionally as bad bunny.

both die in the end is produced by production company eOne, who bought the rights to the source material in 2021. They are producing in conjunction with CVD Productions. Previouslythe project has been in development under JJ Abrams for HBO, but that didn’t come to fruition.

Mateo and Rufus are total strangers, but for different reasons, they’re both looking to make a new friend on their Day of the End. The good news: there’s an app for just that.
