It’s the end of the week, which means it’s time to look back at all the new movies and series that arrived on Netflix over the last seven days and highlight some of the new titles that arrived over the weekend. Finally, we will take a look at the movies and series that have been best positioned in the top 10 on Netflix.

Looking ahead to next week, the top new titles scheduled include the latest season of Sweet toothin addition to the final seasons of working mothers and firefly lanmy.

Netflix’s big new movie for the weekend is Rachel Leigh Cook’s latest romance film that takes place mostly in Vietnam.

The story follows an American travel executive checking out the location as part of her job when she meets and strikes up an impromptu relationship with a tour guide.

In our review on Friday, we gave the film a PAUSE rating, concluding, “If you’re a TV movie junkie who loves the mix of Rachael Leigh Cook and travel documentaries, this one is for you. But if you have a more refined palette for top-tier rom-coms, you might think twice before jumping into this film.»

Whitney Houston: I want to dance with someone (2022)

As we first announced last week, Sony’s recent theatrical release of Whitney Houston: I want to dance with someone comes to Netflix as part of the first window deal.

Here’s what to expect from the new musical biopic:

The movie will now stay on Netflix for the next 18 months.

Finally, the international highlight of this weekend is Rough diamondsa new police thriller originating from Belgium.

Eight episodes will see him following a prodigal son who sends his family empire into crushing debt, with his estranged brother returning to Antwerp’s diamond district to pick up the pieces.

It is a mixture of Succession, Shtisel, dead wind and the murder and, so far, has received rave reviews on IMDb
