NASCAR driver Daniel Suarez. has been fined $50,000 for crashing into another car on pit road after the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas over the weekend.
NASCAR fined the 31-year-old driver race driver for making «contact with another vehicle on pit road after the race», where he was ranked 27th.

He hit teammate Ross Chastain from behind and then Hendrick Motorsports’ Alex Bowman.

«He just thought I got close and tried to run through it,» Bowman said after the race. «Daniel and I have been teammates in the past, we raced together for a long time. I respect him a lot. I’m sure he’s still not very happy. I just tried to explain to him that I wouldn’t race with him like that, that they pushed me there.» .
The outburst apparently stemmed from an incident in overtime late in the race when Bowman hit Suárez as the field was moving into the first corner of the track.

Chase Briscoe appeared to collide with Chastain, who punched Bowman, who then punched Suárez, setting off the chain reaction that pushed Suárez to the back of the pack.
«We were going to win the race and I hate racing with aggressive, clean people and then they leave me like that,» Suárez said, via Fox Sports. «That’s not a real race.»

Tyler Reddick finished first after surviving triple overtime with 10 bookings in the last 17 laps. The race went seven laps beyond the scheduled distance.
