The 2020 MLB season was weird for everyone, but perhaps no one had it as weird as Kiké Hernández.

Hernandez was playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers at the time, and they won their first World Series since 1988.

It is a moment that Hernández will remember forever. But a couple of weeks before that, he had what he called his most embarrassing moment in the majors.

Hernandez, now with the Boston Red Sox, recalled getting dirty during a postseason game.

«[In the] In the 2020 playoffs, I had a dental infection, so I was taking some antibiotics for my infection, and one of the side effects was diarrhea,» Hernandez explained. «We had a great out in a great situation during the NLDS, and I yelled ‘Oh! Yeah! I was doing DH and I thought I farted.

«I came out to lead off the inning, struck out on three pitches. When I stepped into the dugout, I went straight to the bathroom and dropped my pants. I totally ripped myself off.»

Justin Turner, now with the Sox, was also a member of that Dodgers team. He needed clarification.

«So you’re saying you misjudged a fart?» she asked her.

Hernandez took him on the chin.

«Uh no,» Hernandez said. «What I’m saying is that I shit my pants during a game in the playoffs.»
