Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s exhibition boxing match against John Gotti III ended in chaos Sunday night after the fight was stopped in the sixth round.
Mayweather and Gotti trash-talked for more than half the fight and referee Kenny Bayless had increasing difficulty trying to separate and stop them. After Bayless stopped the fight, that’s when things turned sour.

Gotti began to dive into Bayless to go after Mayweather. The two then began throwing punches at each other as both teams made their way to the ring, where more shoving and shoving continued. Gotti was pushed into his corner and Mayweather back into his.
The fight took place at FLA Live in Sunrise, Florida.

Mayweather has not fought professionally since his victory over Conor McGregor in 2017. He is 50-0 with 27 knockouts in his career. Instead, he fought in lucrative exhibitions against anyone from Logan Paul to Gotti. Buying him against Gotti was ruled a disqualification.
Gotti was competing in his third boxing match and has a 2-0 professional record. He is also 5-1 in MMA.
He posted the post-fight melee multiple times on his Instagram Stories. He called Mayweather a «punk b—-» and a «hater for life.»
