There was a lot of drama surrounding Draymond Green last season, but the Golden State Warriors still believe he’s too valuable to give up.
After Green opted out of the final year of his contract, he reportedly signed a new four-year deal worth $100 million.
The 33-year-old Green was originally owed $27.6 million for the final year of his contract, but he opted out earlier this month. But it was a formality, and he shouldn’t be surprised that he stays with Golden State.
The Warriors selected Green in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft. He became a four-time All-Star and an eight-time All-Defensive First-team selection while playing alongside Stephen CurryKlay Thompson and, briefly, Kevin Durant.

And if he hadn’t done that, the relationship we had, I could have been there for him. I could have helped him through that.» [I] He wasn’t necessarily able to do that once it all happened.»
