miami dolphins Wide receiver Braxton Berrios took to Instagram Tuesday to address recent allegations that he cheated on ex-girlfriend Sophia Culpo with influencer Alix Earle, clarifying that the pair mutually split in January.
Berríos, who played four seasons with the new york jets Before signing with the Dolphins in March, he posted a video to his Instagram Stories about rumors of his relationship with Earle and his former model’s accusations that he was seen with Earle before their breakup was official.

«I don’t want to start anything. I don’t want to feed anything. I really want this all to end and for everyone to move on and do whatever makes them happy,» Berríos said.

“I was in a relationship for two years, it was a good relationship, it was healthy. And towards the end, we had ‘we just weren’t working out’ conversations. So when we split up in January, that’s the reason.»

He continued: «It had nothing to do with anything else. It had nothing to do with anybody else, actually. And it just didn’t work out, and that’s okay. So, it’s been very strange and sad to see what’s going on.» happened ever since, and I’ve been quiet because it’s totally out of character to talk about my private life publicly, but I feel it’s necessary to bring it up now.»
Berríos did not name Culpo, but the couple began dating in 2020 and their separation was later reported in March.

The wide receiver, who was drafted by the New England Patriots in 2018, he didn’t mention Earle in the video, but the two have been seen together on social media for weeks. They were seen attending the Palm Festival in Westhampton Beach, New York this past weekend.

His comments followed a video Culpo posted to TikTok in which he apparently shadowed the nfl player and their new relationship.
«Give it some, but call me when the love bombing is over. Got you,» the since-deleted video’s caption read.
Culpo referred to the video on Monday, saying on Instagram: «It really didn’t go that deep,» according to People magazine.
Earlier this month, Culpo opened up about his split from Berríos during a question-and-answer session on his Instagram Stories. She said that she first found out about Berríos’ alleged infidelity through social media.

«When it all came out, it was pretty public, so people knew about it, especially on TikTok, that’s how I found out. It was from an article online or an Instagram post online. And I was like, ‘That’s my boyfriend. , but that’s not me.’ And my sister called me that morning because she was in the same place where it had happened, she called me and told me what was happening.»

«But honestly, I was just a shell of a human being. I was so hurt. I was so, so confused. I didn’t know how to handle the situation, but I was sure it wasn’t to connect and start talking. — about people I still don’t think that’s the right solution. I think my perspective is more to just tell my story and not try to villainize anybody.»
Culpo has not responded on social networks to Berríos’s latest statements.
