MP Motorsport driver Dilano van ‘t Hoff, 18, died on Saturday after an accident at the Alpine Regional Formula European Championship in Belgium, his team said in a statement.
«MP Motorsport is deeply saddened to confirm that our driver, Dilano van ‘t Hoff, died as a result of an accident during the Second race of the Regional Formula European Championship by Alpine at Spa Francorchamps,» the statement read.
«We are devastated by the loss of one of our brightest Dutch talents, who brought so much energy to our team during the years he raced with us. Dilano has been a part of our racing family since his motorsport debut with MP in 2021.

Van ‘t Hoff won the Spanish F4 championship in 2021 and was 15th in the FRECA standings going into Saturday.

Van ‘t Hoff was involved in a multi car accident in humid conditions, according to multiple reports.
A minute’s silence was observed before the main race of the Spa 24 Hours on Saturday.
