Álvaro Uribe attended the debate on his alleged ties to drug trafficking on Wednesday.

Former Colombian President and Senator Álvaro Uribe presented to the Supreme Court of Justice the alleged evidence that another member of the Upper House received money from drug trafficking.

Uribe said he kept his promise to denounce Senator Jimmy Chamorro, whom he accuses of having received checks from drug traffickers.

He did not do the same with senator Iván Cepeda, of the leftist Democratic Pole, despite having announced that he would denounce him for his alleged ties to the FARC guerrilla.

Uribe told the Attorney General the evidence against Cepeda, who for his part accused the former president of relations with drug trafficking and paramilitaries in a debate in the Senate.
