Scheffler, the reigning champion who was tasked with coming up with the menu for the upcoming tournament, obviously signaled that he was joking: Watson hit him back with a friendly punch.

«Hey, as long as I’m at the Dinner of Champions, I’m fine. I’ll sit wherever he tells me. It’s fine,» Watson said.

«As long as I’m allowed to return, I’ll sit wherever he wants. I’ll sit outside and just look out the window.»

Watson said in September that he was «hoping and praying» that the Masters would allow him LIV golfers to participate in Augusta National and just a few months later, those prayers were answered.
