Bed Bath & Beyond is closing an additional 87 stores as the struggling home goods retailer seeks to consolidate its assets ahead of a potential bankruptcy filing.

The company confirmed the closures in a statement, adding that it would also close all of Harmon’s health and beauty stores.

“As we work with our advisors to consider multiple pathways, we are putting actions in place to run our business as efficiently as possible,” he said, adding that he is looking at his store footprint “based on a variety of factors.”

The chain will also close five buybuy BABY stores. In all, the company has announced 237 store closures since last year.

On Tuesday, Reuters reported that Bed Bath & Beyond could file for bankruptcy. as soon as this week. Last week, the company said so. breached on a loan to JP Morgan Chase and Co.
